Homemade country chicken soup recipe for weight loss
Ingredients
  • 4 cups water
  • 5 potatoes
  • 3 carrots
  • 1-2 pieces of parsnip
  • 1½ cups corn
  • 10 oz chicken breast, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 onion, peeled, sliced
  • 2 garlic gloves, peeled, cut in half
  • 5 whole peppercorns
  • salt and other seasoning to taste
  • fresh parsley
Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in skillet and cook the chicken. Add salt and chili powder.
  2. Wash, peel and chop the vegetables.
  3. Boil the water in saucepan and add chopped carrots, parsnip, potatoes, onion and garlic.
  4. Add salt and peppercorns (and other seasoning to taste)
  5. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add corn and chicken and let simmer for 5 minutes
  7. Garnish the soup with fresh parsley
